 Tracy Abbey is a talented South African-born artist who has had a lifelong passion for art and creation. Her mother, maternal grandmother, and paternal grandfather, who were all artistic individuals, fostered her talents and encouraged her to express herself through art. Tracy excels in photo-realistic nature-based oil pastels and oil paint, with a particular focus on African animals and landscapes...of late however she has branched out to create mostly in acrylics and mixed media, creating magical pieces that speak to the soul!

She has pursued formal education in art both in high school, college, and private lessons, earning a BA in education before becoming a teacher in South Africa.

In 2001, Tracy immigrated to the United States and has lived in various locations, including Sacramento, San Diego, Salt Lake City, and Casper, Wyoming. While in Wyoming, she immersed herself in hobby farming and developed skills in the old ways, permaculture, and self-sustainable living. However, after her divorce in 2017, Tracy found herself back in Sacramento after traveling in an RV across the country and working on several farms.

During the pandemic lockdowns of 2020, Tracy rediscovered her passion and love for art and started experimenting with acrylic paint, finding solace in the process of creating and expressing herself through paint and color on paper and canvas in acrylics and mixed media, in topics she was drawn to from being immersed in nature.

With a love of the moon and a spiritual connection with these elements through her guides, she began to find peace, inner healing, and joy in the world and discover there was magic all around, she now wishes to share this with everyone, so with the encouragement of her love of a lifetime soulmate by her side, she took a leap of faith and In 2021, she did just that launching: The Cats Whiskers Art Studio, an online and mobile paint party entertainment business aimed at helping others find healing through art, her magical painting circle and spiritual memberships, paint at home art kits, Womens Spiritual Creative Retreats, and Guest Speaking Events

Tracy's day-to-day work involves creating personal expressive healing shamanic journey pieces of art inspired by nature, designing paint party and online student projects, and accepting commission pieces. Her Woo Woo Sisterhood Online Magical Circle is her passion project a discovery of self and the old ways through Art with other like-minded woo woo creative women.

Her three children also love to dabble in art alongside her, and in February 2021, they were featured on Good Day Sacramento painting along with “Bob Ross” AKA none other than Cody Stark, during the morning segment of his show.

Tracy's artistic talents have garnered her numerous accolades, as recently as a one-man Art Gallery Show titled "I'm Over the Moon About You!" at the Double Dip Gallery in Lodi, California, in 2022. She was also a featured artist at the Lodi 2022, 2023 Art Hop and collaborated to create a calendar and planner, and inspirational oracle deck project with 70+ plus artists from around the world. She again appeared on segments of the Good Day Sacramento Morning Show. And became an International Best Selling Author in 2023.

Tracy is currently working on a personal spiritual book series, coloring books, planners and journals. As well as podcast and guest speaking, retreat  collaborations, and moon energy affirmations oracle deck, and a new magical series of fine art available in limited editions and prints as well as merchandise for the first time, as well as her fine art pieces and limited commissions she takes on each year...further cementing her status as a talented and accomplished artist.
